MLA Colleen Young, Lloydminster

Heavenly Father, you have placed the importance of family, children and youth on MLA Colleen Young’s heart for many years. May she be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove in her work, conversations, and decisions she is a part of. Heavenly Father, may she be granted favour working with her fellow constituents and her respective community. Strengthen her mind, her heart, and her body this day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Colleen was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a November 13, 2014 by-election for the constituency of Lloydminster. She was re-elected in the 2016 and 2020 provincial elections. Colleen was born and raised on a family farm east of Saskatoon and has called the Lloydminster riding home for the last 33 years. Colleen attended the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan beginning in 1979 and has been active in education ever since. Colleen was a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education for 20 years and served as the board chair for 16 of those years. Colleen is very active in the Lloydminster community and she and her husband, Kim, have one daughter and seven sons.
