MLA Colleen Young, Lloydminster

Jer. 23:1-4.  Heavenly Father, I ask that you guide Ms Colleen Young into the next right thing to do concerning the challenges facing this province. Guide Ms Young, and those she works alongside, into bringing beauty from ashes; strength from tears. Oh Lord, bless Ms young in her opportunities for influential conversations, work, and leadership this month. Thank you, Lord for showing the way of truth, love, and healing. Praise be to you!

Colleen was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a November 13, 2014 by-election for the constituency of Lloydminster. She was re-elected in the 2016 and 2020 provincial elections. Colleen was born and raised on a family farm east of Saskatoon and has called the Lloydminster riding home for the last 33 years. Colleen attended the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan beginning in 1979 and has been active in education ever since. Colleen was a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education for 20 years and served as the board chair for 16 of those years. Colleen is very active in the Lloydminster community and she and her husband, Kim, have one daughter and seven sons.
