MLA Colleen Young, Lloydminster

Heavenly Father, we lift up MLA Colleen Young to you. As she does what is right in your eyes, may you increase her influence, not only in her region but also the Legislative Assembly. As challenges occur, may she be filled with perseverance, strength and wisdom. May the light not leave her eyes but may she continue to inspire others in the same way and manner. Colleen was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a November 13, 2014 by-election for the constituency of Lloydminster. She was re-elected in the 2016 and 2020 provincial elections. Colleen was born and raised on a family farm east of Saskatoon and has called the Lloydminster riding home for the last 33 years. Colleen attended the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan beginning in 1979 and has been active in education ever since. Colleen was a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education for 20 years and served as the board chair for 16 of those years. Colleen is very active in the Lloydminster community and she and her husband, Kim, have one daughter and seven sons.
