MLA David Forbes, Saskatoon Centre

Lord we pray today for David Forbes, MLA representing Saskatoon Centre. We are thankful for his many years of service in the education system, in the political system and as a volunteer. May he always be a person of integrity. May he search for You Lord with all his heart and find You. May he follow Your instructions, be obedient to Your laws, and walk only in Your paths. We pray for good health and longevity. We ask for Your blessings to abound to him and his family. In Jesus name. Amen…….

Before entering politics, David Forbes taught in both Saskatoon and rural Saskatchewan. He received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Regina and a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. David has been a strong volunteer for his local community association, the Saskatchewan SaskTel Jazz Festival and as a coach of youth football and softball. He was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a by-election in 2001 and re-elected in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2016. In the Saskatchewan NDP caucus, he has served as caucus chair and as the critic for Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, Social Services, housing, community-based organizations, Workers Compensation Board, diversity, equity, and human rights. He was also the associate critic for Education. David and his wife Dawn Martin have three children, Cam, Alison, and Reilly.
