Father, it is an honour to lift MLA Diljeet Brar to you in prayer today. Thank you for him and his love and commitment to his community. We ask that you would encourage him, protect him, and guide him to continue to work for what is right. We pray that you would bless his family with your peace and grace. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
MLA Diljeet Brar won his seat in 2019 representing the riding of Burrows for the NDP. Brar grew up in India, graduated with a master’s degree in education and taught at the Agricultural University in Punjab, India. Brar worked as a broadcast journalist before immigrating to Canada and worked in agriculture for the province in the communities of Arborg and Beausejour, Man. He currently works as executive director of Bulla Arts International, which is focused on cultural development for kids. He and others helped raise funds for the creation of a master’s of human rights program at the U of M. He and his family have lived in Amber Trails since 2014.
