Lord, we thank you for Diljeet Brar, MLA for Burrows. We thank you for his strong commitment to building leadership skills in young people and his strong desire to see multi-culturalism protected and nurtured in Manitoba. We ask that you would bless him in his work as the critic for agriculture as well as critic for sport, culture and heritage. Grant him great wisdom and favour as he fulfils this calling as an elected leader in Manitoba. Bless his wife and his family and keep them safe! Amen.
MLA Dijeet Brar won his seat in 2019 representing the riding of Burrows for the NDP. Brar grew up in India, graduated with a master’s degree in education and taught at the Agricultural University in Punjab, India. Brar worked as a broadcast journalist before immigrating to Canada and worked in agriculture for the province in the communities of Arborg and Beausejour, Man. He currently works as executive director of Bulla Arts International, which is focused on cultural development for kids. He and others helped raise funds for the creation of a master’s of human rights program at the U of M. He and his family have lived in Amber Trails since 2014.
