Lord God, we lift up MLA Diljeet Brar to you today and ask for wisdom and knowledge. I pray that you would direct and show him how to best serve the people in his riding. I pray, Lord, that he would inspire those around him. We ask that you would give him the drive and stamina to finish well the tasks he has started and to not grow weary. May you keep his family healthy and strong, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
MLA Dijeet Brar won his seat in 2019 representing the riding of Burrows for the NDP. Brar grew up in India, graduated with a master’s degree in education and taught at the Agricultural University in Punjab, India. Brar worked as a broadcast journalist before immigrating to Canada and worked in agriculture for the province in the communities of Arborg and Beausejour, Man. He currently works as executive director of Bulla Arts International, which is focused on cultural development for kids. He and others helped raise funds for the creation of a master’s of human rights program at the U of M. He and his family have lived in Amber Trails since 2014.
