MLA Doug Routley, Nanaimo-North Cowichan

In Jesus name we raise up Doug Routley, God’s word in Luke 12:40 “Be ye therefore ready…” We cover Doug in our prayers today and for his riding in Nanaimo – North Cowichan we thank You for his years of service, connections to the Cowichan first Nation people, his years of service as an educator, school trustee and now MLA. Bless his work experience and what he brings to Government. Lord please bless and protect Doug and his family. In Jesus name we pray, Amen…….

Doug Routley was re-elected as the MLA for Nanaimo-North Cowichan in 2017. Doug grew up in Duncan, B.C. His work experience is in construction and in logging, having worked as a sawmill worker and treeplanter. He also has been a business owner and operator, school custodian and school trustee. Doug is an avid cyclist, riding average of 1000 km per month and a member of the BC Masters Cycling Association. Doug also enjoys track riding. Doug and his partner Leanne can often be seen training on the roads of mid-Vancouver Island. Doug lives in Duncan with his partner, Leanne Finlayson. He has a daughter, Madeline, and a step-daughter, Brooklynne. The family enjoy cycling, hiking (with Husky dog Kato), camping and boating together.
