Thank you, Lord, for
the ambition and drive that you’ve placed inside of Richard. Thank you for placing these qualities in him. You created and
shaped him to be ambitious, passionate, and hard-working, and he is using these
abilities to great effect as he serves Vermilion-Lloydminster. I pray you’d
continue to use him, perhaps drawing his attention again to the passions you
placed in him, and to the significant role you’ve raised him to. Give him a
fresh reminder and picture of the privilege he has to serve. Help him to always
be both wise and courageous, never being afraid to stand for what is good and
right.
Richard Starke was elected to his second term as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Vermilion-Lloydminster on May 5, 2015. He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future. Dr. Starke lives north of Lloydminster in the Durness district with his wife, Alison. Both of their sons currently attend university.
