MLA Greg Kyllo, Shuswap (Demo)

Father, today in Jesus name we pray for Greg Kyllo MLA for Shuswap. 1Peter 2:17 “Honor everyone, love brotherhood, fear God, honor the emperor” Today we honor Greg for his last 5 years of serving the Shuswap Region as well as his role as official opposition co–critic for jobs, trade and technology. As Greg shifts from summer vacation and work in his riding to being back in Victoria, please give him wisdom. We also pray for his wife Georgina, their four daughters and six grandchildren father please put a hedge of protection around them. In Jesus name we pray amen……………………

Greg Kyllo was elected as the MLA for Shuswap in 2013 and re-elected in 2017. Since August, Greg has served as the Official Opposition Co-Critic for Jobs, Trade, and Technology and was appointed by the Legislature to the Select Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs.

Greg has served as the Parliamentary Secretary for the BC Jobs Plan to the Minister of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training, and a member of Treasury Board, the Cabinet Committee on Core Review, the Cabinet Committee on Strong Economy, the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Premier’s Priority and Planning Committee.

Prior to being elected as MLA, Greg was the President and CEO of Twin Anchors Marine/TA Structures for 24 years.

His interest in politics began after watching his father, an active member in local politics, serve as both councillor and mayor of Taylor. Greg sat on the Sicamous District Council in 2011 and was appointed deputy mayor. He was also the chair of the Finance Committee and served on the Sicamous Economic Development Board.

Greg was born in Fort St. John, living in the community of Taylor before settling in Sicamous in 1978. He attended Parkview Elementary and Eagle River Secondary in Sicamous before continuing his studies at Okanagan College in Salmon Arm.

Greg and his wife Georgina continue to make Sicamous their home. They have four daughters and six grandchildren
