MLA: Greg Kyllo – Shuswap (Demo)

Father, we thank You that MLA Greg Kyllo decided to enter the public sector and serve as a member of our legislative assembly. We are grateful that he brings not only his knowledge of the business world but also a great love of our province to the table. We are especially thankful for his love of the interior of this great province. It is a love that permeates all that he does. Continue to give him the wisdom, strength and partnerships needed to bring to fruition all those projects and tasks he wants to accomplish for the benefit of many of our citizens. May his time with his family this year take them to even deeper levels of relationship. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Greg Kyllo was elected as MLA for Shuswap on May 14, 2013.

He is the Parliamentary Secretary for the BC Jobs Plan to the Minister of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training. He is also a member of the Treasury Board, the Cabinet Committee on Strong Economy, and the Cabinet Working Group on Core Review.

Prior to being elected as MLA, Greg was the President and CEO of Twin Anchors Marine/TA Structures for 24 years.

His interest in politics began after watching his father, an active member in local politics, serve as both Councillor and Mayor of Taylor. Greg sat on the Sicamous District Council in 2011 and was appointed Deputy Mayor. He was also the chair of the Finance Committee and has served on the Sicamous Economic Development Board.

Greg was born in Fort St. John and moved to Taylor before settling in Sicamous in 1978. He attended Eagle River Secondary before continuing his studies at Okanagan College in Salmon Arm.

He and his wife Georgina have raised their four daughters in the Shuswap area.
