MLA Greg Lawrence, Moose Jaw Wakamow

Father, we celebrate the life of Greg Lawrence. We acknowledge his life and presence as a gift from you. Thank you Father for providing Greg as a gift to those who serve in the armed forces and those who reside in Moose Jaw Wakamow. Father, would you provide Greg with a great sense of understanding of how much you delight in him? Our prayer is that Greg would know in his heart that you intend to use him to bring peace and joy to those around him. Amen

Greg grew up in the Estevan area and spent many years working in the oil industry and with SaskPower. He moved to Moose Jaw in 2003 where he worked with SaskTel as a customer service technician. Greg has also served as president of Southern Plains Métis Local 160. Greg and his wife Marj fostered many children while raising three teenage boys. This involvement inspired Greg to make a difference by running in the 2011 provincial election. Greg was first elected as the MLA for Moose Jaw Wakamow in 2011. He was re-elected in 2016 and again in 2020. Greg is a member of the caucus House Services Committee and the Assembly’s Privileges Committee and the Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Social Services. A former Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force Reserves, he is delighted with his role as Saskatchewan’s Military Liaison. Greg and his wife Marjorie have three adult sons, one foster son and three grandchildren.
