MLA Hon Brandy Payne, Calgary-Acadia

Lord
we thank you for the Honourable Brandy Payne, that you placed her in the right
position as Associate Minister of Health. May you give her wisdom as she makes
the decisions regarding the health care for all Albertans. Give her strategies
on how to fulfill her duties.  Bless her, her husband Scott, their two daughters and all Albertans, in
Jesus name Amen.

 

Brandy Payne was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Calgary-Acadia on May 5, 2015. On February 2, 2016, Ms. Payne was appointed Associate Minister of Health.  She previously served as deputy chair of the Select Special Ethics and Accountability Committee. She is also a past member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.
Ms. Payne holds a journalism degree from Carleton University and graduated with high honours. She has also attended Mount Royal College, taking numerous training courses in project management.
Prior to her election, Ms. Payne worked in administrative and management capacities for over 15 years, including as owner and operator of her own yoga business since 2010.
She and her husband, Scott, are raising two young daughters, Zoe and Cassidy.
