Lord, as the recently appointed Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, today we pray that you would grant insight and wisdom to MLA Scott Fraser as you have called him to serve not only the riding of the Mid-Island and the Pacific Rim, but also to serve in this important capacity as Minister. Grant him integrity as he seeks to represent the views and best interests of not only those in his local riding, but also as he seeks to understand the needs and desires of all citizens in the province of British Columbia, particularly the specific goals, concerns and objectives of the indigenous peoples of BC. May he lean upon and learn from his many years of experience to develop close relationships with our indigenous peoples and seek to become an agent of reconciliation. Furthermore, may he simply become an effective representative within our provincial legislature. Grant him a humble spirit and discerning heart as he seeks to serve effectively within our provincial government in Victoria. Bless him and his family richly in the coming years as a member of our new government team. Amen.
