Thank you Lord that you have chosen the Hon. Stephanie Cadieux to serve in government. Give her wisdom as she servers in her role as Minister of Children and Family Development. Stephanie Cadieux was first elected MLA for Surrey-Panorama in the 2009 general provincial election.
Stephanie was re-appointed Minister of Children and Family Development on June 10, 2013, having served in this role since September 5, 2012.
She formerly served as Minister of Social Development, Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development and Minister of Labour, Citizens’ Services and Open Government.
Stephanie serves as vice-chair of the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow and is also part of the Cabinet Working Group on Core Review. She has previously served as the vice-chair of both the Cabinet Committee on Open Government and Engagement and the Cabinet Committee on Families First. She has also served on the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner, the Select Standing Committees on Health and on Children and Youth and the Special Committee to Review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Stephanie worked with the BC Paraplegic Association as director of marketing and development and was Manager, Accessibility for 2010 Legacies Now. She has been an active community volunteer and was the president of Realwheels Society, a member of the advisory panel with International Collaboration On Repair Discoveries (ICORD), and a mentor with the Y.W.C.A.
Stephanie has lived in Surrey for ten years with her husband and enjoys sailing and travel.
