Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that we are a democratic country. Thank You also for those who serve You in the provincial government of Saskatchewan. Today, we lift up Hugh Gordon, MLA and Opposition Caucus member. As one of the newer MLAs, please guide him in his duties and bring fresh insight to his various portfolios. With an honourable background serving the people of Saskatchewan for 24 years as an RCMP, he brings a special skill set in the area of law enforcement. Let this be a springboard to offering valuable input in all areas of justice and social reform, with honour and courage. Give him the gift of discernment and with Your help, the ability to transform areas of lack in our province. Keep him under Your protective wing, bringing peace and encouragement when needed most. Bless his family and provide for their needs. Thank You that we can come to You in prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Hugh Gordon was first elected MLA for Saskatoon Silverspring in 2024. He is the opposition Shadow Minister for Highways and Infrastructure and SGI. He is a small business owner and retired RCMP officer. He spent 24 years with the RCMP, serving as a front-line officer and a financial crime investigator in Saskatchewan. He owned and operated Gordon Special Investigations and also helped manage his wife’s small business. Hugh and his family have called Saskatoon home since 2009. Their kids attended school in Silverspring and played on various local sports teams. Hugh’s priorities are fully funding K-12 education, fixing the public health-care system, creating more good-paying jobs and making life more affordable.
