MLA Ian Paton, Delta South

I bring Ian Paton, LIB MLA Delta South, before you, Father, asking that you will be his guide and director over these months of recovery. May he be able to use his wealth of experience to help those around him who are hurting and so affected by the struggles of this past year. May he have the words of encouragement along with successful plans that will help those he is working on behalf of. Keep him in health and strength and please grant him times of rejuvenation so he can continue doing the work that he is tasked with. Thank you for him and his willingness to be a part of the leadership of our province. I ask this in your name. Amen.

Ian was elected as MLA for Delta South in 2017, and re-elected in October 2020. He currently serves as the Official Opposition critic for Agriculture and Food. Ian graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of British Columbia in 1978. A lifelong Delta resident, Ian has over 30 years of experience running and owning a dairy farm and farm auction business. Locally, Ian is the past president of the East Delta Community Hall Society, a past member of the Hall 4 Volunteer Fire Department, a long-time Director of the BC Youth in Agriculture Foundation and has volunteered with many local organizations, including the Delta Hospital Foundation, REACH Child and Youth Development Society, and the Delta Farmland and Wildlife Trust. Ian lives on his family farm in Delta with his wife Pam.
