Lord Jesus, I bring Ms. Jackie Armstrong–Homeniuk to you in prayer. Thank you so much for Jackie’s service as a member of parliament for her region of Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville. Help her to use her wealth of experience in business to continue to improve the region and bring about positive change, as she has already done. Grant her wisdom and discernment as a liaison between the people of her community and the government. I ask for safety and health for Jackie and her family in the coming year. Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk was elected in 2019. Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, she owned and operated a small business in Vegreville for close to 35 years. From 1981 to 1984 she worked with a private insurance adjustment firm. She has been an avid volunteer and active member of the Vegreville business community. Between 2017 and 2019 she served as secretary of the Vegreville Rotary Club and as the liaison to the economic development director with the Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce. From 2016 to 2019 she was a member of the Vegreville Economic Development Board. She served as secretary of an electoral district association from January 2016 to February 2019, when she was voted president. She studied at the University of Calgary and also at MacEwan University. She holds a journeyman certificate for beautician/hairstylist and a diploma in insurance adjustment. She and her husband have two children.
