MLA: Jackie Tegart – Fraser-Nicola (Demo)

Lord, You say in Philippians 2:4 “do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”. We are grateful that we have a person like MLA: Jackie Tegart who demonstrates this quality serving in our legislature. We  thank You for her heart for serving the people shown by her many years as a city councilor, school board member and chair and school trustee. We pray that You will direct her to places and initiatives as an MLA where she will be able to continue to apply her knowledge. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jackie Tegart was elected as MLA for Fraser-Nicola on May 14, 2013.

She currently serves as a member of the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow, and the Environment and Land Use Committee.

Prior to being elected as MLA, Jackie served three terms on Ashcroft council. She was a school board member for 17 years, serving as chair for 15 of those years. She is also a former President of the BC School Trustees Association.

Jackie was the facilitator for BC Healthy Communities’ Interior Region, the coordinator for Community Futures, which plays a significant role in entrepreneurial and community development, and was a partner in Painted Ladies Gallery and Gifts.

Jackie was born in Princeton and has lived in Ashcroft for 50 years. She has four children with her late husband, and nine grandchildren.
