MLA Joe Hargrave, Prince Albert Carlton

Father, in November Joe Hargrave was elected by his peers to the position of Deputy Speaker – but of course you already know that Father. I trust that this new role is part of your purpose and plan for his life and for good governance in Saskatchewan. We pray for a renewed capacity for focus, clarity, fairness, and humility for Mr. Hargrave so that he can provide leadership in his new role. Father help him to carefully balance the need to be an effective advocate for his constituents while also being a neutral advocate for the operation of the Saskatchewan Legislature. Bestow upon him the patience to let vigorous debate take place, but also the quick response necessary to maintain decorum and respect. We pray this all in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Joe Hargrave was elected MLA for Prince Albert Carlton in the 2016 provincial election and again in 2020. He was raised near Porcupine Plain and has lived and worked in Prince Albert for many years. He is the former owner/operator of Riverside Dodge and Riverside Hyundai. Joe was also a manager with BMO for 20 years, as well as a corrections officer for four years. In addition to his busy professional life, Joe has been involved in his community as a member of the Rotary Club, Board of Police Commissioners for Prince Albert, and Prince Albert and District Community Futures. Joe and his wife Fran have four children and six grandchildren.
