MLA: John Horgan – Juan de Fuca (Demo)

God of Heaven and Earth, we approach You in sincere and humble prayer for MLA: John Horgan. John has served faithfully in the BC legislature for over seven years. He has given of his time and energy in many endeavors for the benefit of his constituents. We pray You will give him good health, a strong and disciplined mind and a heart of compassion for the less fortunate among us. Bless his wife and children so that they may be a sturdy support. We ask these thing in the name of Jesus our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

John Horgan was elected as the MLA for Malahat-Juan de Fuca on May 17, 2005, and re-elected to the reconfigured riding of Juan de Fuca on May 12, 2009.

John serves as Official Opposition House Leader and is the opposition critic for Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources.

John was born and raised in Victoria.

A former long time public servant, he started his career in Ottawa working in the House of Commons before returning to British Columbia to work for the provincial government. He has also worked in the private sector, running a management and consulting company.

John has a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University and completed his Master of Arts at Sydney University in Australia.

John and his wife Ellie have two sons who attend the University of Victoria.
