MLA John Rustad, Nechako Lakes

Father, thank You for John and for the background and experience he has in the forest industry in northern British Columbia. Please give him wisdom and courage as he deals with a changing industry and all of the difficulties that now face it. As one of the former leading sources of employment and revenue for our Province, careful management and clear thinking is needed to enforce correct legislation. Lord, help him to protect our natural resources and serve the Aboriginal peoples. Give him compassion and insight far beyond his own abilities. Let his experience with reform, ethical conduct and private bills assist him in persevering in challenging situations he encounters daily. Please bless his family, in Jesus Name. Amen…….

John Rustad was re-elected MLA of Nechako Lakes in 2017. First elected in 2005, John now serves as the Official Opposition’s critic on Forest, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations and was appointed to the Select Standing Committee on Parliamentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders, and Private Bills. Prior to his election as MLA, John worked in the forest industry for more than 20 years. In 1995, he formed Western Geographic Information Systems Inc., a consulting service. John was also elected as a school trustee in 2002. Born and raised in Prince George, John has lived in northern B.C. all his life; he and his wife Kim now live in Cluculz Lake.
