MLA John Yap, Richmond-Steveston

Lord Jesus, today we bring John Yap, member for Richmond-Steveston to You. We thank You for John’s many years of faithful service to the people of Richmond and to British Columbia. I pray You would infuse John with health, peace and rest through the summer months, refreshing him and his family as they enjoy time together. I pray You would draw John to Your goodness and reveal Your glory in new and magnificent ways today, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen ……..

 

In 2017, John was re-elected MLA for Richmond-Steveston. In August, John was given the role of critic to the Attorney General, specifically on issues related to Liquor, Gaming, and ICBC. He also serves on the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts.John has served as Minister of Advanced Education, Innovation and Technology; Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism; Minister of State for Climate Action; Government Caucus Chair; and as Parliamentary Secretary for Liquor Reform Policy to the Minister of Small Business, Red Tape Reduction and Minister Responsible for the Liquor Distribution Branch. John attended the University of British Columbia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a Masters of Business Administration.
