MLA Laila Goodridge, Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche

Lord Jesus, hear my prayer for Ms. Laila Goodridge.  Thank you so much for her service to the community of Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche.  Help Laila to use her passion for Northern Alberta and Lac la Biche to further your kingdom and implement positive change in the area for generations to come.  I pray for peace, grace and mercy to be upon her and her family during this season of uncertainty. Be near to her and help her to sense your presence. In Jesus name I pray, amen. 

Laila Goodridge was first elected in a 2018 by-election. She was re-elected to represent the constituency of Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche on April 16, 2019. She currently serves as chair of the Standing Committee on Families and Communities, member of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services and Select Special Democratic Accountability Committee. Prior to her election, Ms. Goodridge worked for Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. She has also previously worked for the Minister of the Environment in Ottawa and spent almost five years working in the oil sands in Fort McMurray. Ms. Goodridge’s community involvement has included a variety of roles within both provincial and federal political boards and she’s an active volunteer within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. She is fluent in French and holds a bachelor of arts degree from University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean. Ms. Goodridge was born and raised in Fort McMurray.
