MLA Laila Goodridge, Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche

Lord, thank You for Ms. Laila Goodridge. I pray for Your protection to be upon her as she works as an elected representative in the Fort McMurray area. Give her wisdom in her roles on several committees involving family, communities and legislative offices.  Help her to use her education, experience working in Ottawa and French fluency to impact our province for the better.  Grant her rest and peace, in Jesus name, Amen…….

Laila Goodridge was first elected in a 2018 by-election. She was re-elected to represent the constituency of Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche on April 16, 2019. Ms. Goodridge currently serves as chair of the Standing Committee on Families and Communities. Prior to her election, Ms. Goodridge worked for Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. She has also previously worked for the Minister of the Environment in Ottawa and spent almost five years working in the oil sands in Fort McMurray. Ms. Goodridge’s community involvement has included a variety of roles within both provincial and federal political boards and she’s an active volunteer within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. She is fluent in French and holds a bachelor of arts degree from University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean. Ms. Goodridge was born and raised in Fort McMurray.
