MLA Laurie Throness, Chilliwack-Kent

Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, we follow Your word in Ephesians 1: “Cease not to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers.” Father we thank You for Laurie Throness and his commitment to both Federal and Provincial Government. Laurie brings a wealth of wisdom to the Liberal party as well as the Provincial Government. Continue to bless him everything he does watch over Laurie and his family. In Jesus name we pray, Amen…… 

Laurie Throness was elected MLA for Chilliwack-Hope in 2013 and re-elected as MLA for the newly aligned riding, Chilliwack-Kent, in 2017. He currently serves as the Official Opposition Critic for Children and Family Development and Child Care and is a member of the Select Standing Committees on Children and Youth and Parliamentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders and Private Bills. Laurie is a supporter of continuing education and lifelong learning. A graduate of Canadian Bible College in Regina with a degree in biblical studies, Laurie later went on to earn a degree in history from Waterloo University and a master’s degree in public administration from Queen’s University. In 2002, Laurie pursued a PhD in history at Cambridge University in the UK.
