Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up Member Linda Hepner today. We thank You for her many years of public service. May Your Holy Spirit flow through her body and empower her today. Give her strength in all her dealings today. Lord, guide her every word. Put Your words in her mouth – words of wisdom, words of grace, words of encouragement to those around her. Protect Linda from harm of any kind. Be with her and envelop her in Your care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Linda Hepner was elected as MLA of Surrey-Serpentine River in 2024. She was the Mayor of Surrey from 2014-2018. As mayor, Linda successfully led the initiative to relocate a significant homeless population from 135A Street. By directly engaging with the homeless and understanding their unique needs, she implemented a voluntary, individualized approach that effectively addressed diverse issues on a case-by-case basis. Before becoming mayor, Linda served as a city councillor from 2005 to 2014. During this time, she chaired the City of Surrey’s 2010 Olympic Committee, overseeing Surrey’s role as a venue city for volunteer training and development of a family site, which earned the city the title of the best family venue for the Olympic experience. She resides in Surrey with her husband.
