MLA Lisa Naylor, Wolseley

 We thank you, Lord, for Lisa Naylor, MLA for Wolseley.  We thank you for the deep and abiding passion that you have placed within her for issues that affect the mental health of youth in our province.  We thank you for her tireless advocacy for school funding and all things that affect children and youth today.  We ask that you would grant her great wisdom to know and advocate for a just and equitable society that functions in a God honouring way.  We ask that you bless her family and keep them in your shalom.  Bless her as she continues to advocate for her constituents.  We ask this in Jesus’ name.

 

Lisa Naylor was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba in 2019. She represents the electoral district of Wolseley as a member of the New Democratic Party of Manitoba. Naylor has lived in Wolseley for 20 years and has represented parents and students in the area since 2014 as the vice-chair of the Winnipeg School Division board and Ward 4 trustee. She has also served on the executive of the Manitoba School Boards Association, and the boards of the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association daycare and Klinic Community Health Centre. A longtime feminist activist, mental health advocate and defender of LGBTQ rights. Naylor worked with sexually exploited youth in Toronto as an outreach worker when she began a career that has spanned three decades and involved time in front-line social and community health services.
