Heavenly Father, today we pray for MLA Lorne Doerkson. We thank you for his willingness to serve our great province. May he find this day to be prosperous for him as he works through this day. Bless him with health and strength and may he find times of refreshing for himself. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.
Lorne Doerkson was elected MLA for Cariboo-Chilcotin in 2020 and serves as the Official Opposition critic for Rural Development. A long-time resident of the Cariboo-Chilcotin, Lorne Doerkson has worked in many different industries including a 20-year term in the newspaper business, followed by the automobile industry and is self-employed in financial services. Lorne is a passionate community booster and was twice awarded the Community Booster award by the Chamber of Commerce. He has served on many boards and volunteered for a variety of local causes, often as emcee for events, and serving at an executive level on boards including the Williams Lake Stampede, the Chamber of Commerce, BC Community Newspaper Association and Hough Memorial Cancer Society.
