Dear heavenly Father, we come before You today to honor and bless Mr. Martin Long. Thank You for his willingness to serve the constituents of West Yellowhead. We ask for safety and protection as he travels throughout this electoral district, as well as opportunities to hear the varied concerns of the people. Help him, Lord, to clearly articulate the pressing needs which deserve attention as he serves on the various standing committees. Surround him with wise mentors and associates willing to put good plans into place addressing these needs. Bless Mr. Long’s family today, with provision and protection. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Martin Long was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of West Yellowhead, on April 16, 2019. Prior to his election Mr. Long worked as an operator for Alberta Newsprint in Whitecourt for nine years. Originally from Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Mr. Long earned his third-class power engineer certificate in 2015. His community involvement includes serving as board chair for Tennille’s Hope Kommunity Kitchen in Whitecourt and as a youth leader with Whitecourt Baptist Church. He and his wife, Vanessa, have two children. In his free time he enjoys golf, hockey, downhill skiing and working around his acreage
