Lord, give Martin your plans and purposes as he serves as Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Tourism in our legislature. Martin Long was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of West Yellowhead, on April 16, 2019. Prior to his election Mr. Long worked as an operator for Alberta Newsprint in Whitecourt for nine years. Originally from Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Mr. Long earned his third-class power engineer certificate in 2015. His community involvement includes serving as board chair for Tennille’s Hope Kommunity Kitchen in Whitecourt and as a youth leader with Whitecourt Baptist Church. He and his wife, Vanessa, have two children. In his free time he enjoys golf, hockey, downhill skiing and working around his acreage
