Lord God, today we bring Surrey-CloverdaleMLA Marvin Hunt to You. We ask for a special impartation of wisdom and discernment for Marvin as he tackles the challenges before him as MLA. We recognize You have positioned Marvin to influence decisions that are being made in our province, grant to him clarity of speech and conviction of heart. We also ask for Your blessings on his wife Ruth and the entire Hunt clan, in Jesus’ name, Amen……

Marvin Hunt was first elected to the Legislature in 2013 and re-elected in 2017. Currently, Marvin serves as the official opposition critic on Social Development and Poverty Reduction. Prior to entering provincial politics, Marvin was first elected to Surrey City Council in 1987. He served in many roles in local politics, including chair of Metro Vancouver’s Board, chair of the International Committee of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, and president of the Union of BC Municipalities. Marvin also initiated the development of Metro Vancouver’s Sustainable Region Initiative in 2002. Marvin and his wife Ruth are long-time Surrey residents and share six children and seventeen grandchildren.
