Lord, we thank You for MLA: Marvin Hunt. We pray that You would guide him in his work both in the legislature and with his constituents. Sharpen his perception and awareness of needs and be the source of creative solutions. Give him discernment so he is able to determine the contacts that must be made to achieve the results You desire. May his voice be heard and appreciated. We pray for the health and safety of his family in the New Year. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Marvin Hunt was elected MLA for Surrey-Panorama on May 14, 2013. He also serves on the Cabinet Committee for Secure Tomorrow.
Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Marvin was first elected to Surrey City Council in 1988.
Marvin is also a member of the Board at Metro Vancouver.
Marvin has served in many roles, including the Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Waste Management Committee and Metro Vancouver’s Water Committee. Marvin also initiated the development of the Sustainable Region Initiative in 2002. Marvin has devoted countless hours to charitable and non-profit organizations in a wide variety of endeavors.
Marvin and his wife Ruth are long time Surrey residents and share six children.
