Lord, we are privileged to be able to pray for our government leaders and their continued success in all of their endeavours. Today we pray specifically for MLA: Marvin Hunt and his heart for government and those in need. We pray that You will give him innovative and effective strategies to be able to use his knowledge and experience in the charitable and not for profit sectors in his legislative role in order to to improve the lives of those most in need in our province. We also pray that the upcoming legislative session finds him encouraged, refreshed and invigorated. In Jesus’ name we ask this. Amen.
Marvin Hunt was elected MLA for Surrey-Panorama on May 14, 2013. He also serves on the Cabinet Committee for Secure Tomorrow.
Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Marvin was first elected to Surrey City Council in 1988.
Marvin is also a member of the Board at Metro Vancouver.
Marvin has served in many roles, including the Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Waste Management Committee and Metro Vancouver’s Water Committee. Marvin also initiated the development of the Sustainable Region Initiative in 2002. Marvin has devoted countless hours to charitable and non-profit organizations in a wide variety of endeavors.
Marvin and his wife Ruth are long time Surrey residents and share six children.
