Father, we pray today for Marvin Hunt, MLA for Surrey-Panorama. We pray You would allow him clarity of thought in every situation; give him the ability to see clearly and shut out irrelevancies and the noise that can confuse a matter. We ask that You would give him Your perspective and understanding and the courage to stand firm upon the convictions You bring to him. We pray he would be an agent for bringing peace and calmness in stormy situations and You would use him like a rudder on a ship to guide conversations in the direction You choose. We pray for health for he and his family. We ask this in Jesus’ name.
Marvin Hunt was elected MLA for Surrey-Panorama on May 14, 2013. He also serves on the Cabinet Committee for Secure Tomorrow.
Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Marvin was first elected to Surrey City Council in 1988.
Marvin is also a member of the Board at Metro Vancouver.
Marvin has served in many roles, including the Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Waste Management Committee and Metro Vancouver’s Water Committee. Marvin also initiated the development of the Sustainable Region Initiative in 2002. Marvin has devoted countless hours to charitable and non-profit organizations in a wide variety of endeavors.
Marvin and his wife Ruth are long time Surrey residents and share six children.
