Mary Polak was re-elected as MLA for Langley in 2017, having represented the constituents of Langley since 2005. Mary currently serves as the Official Opposition House Leader and sits on the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner. The Legislature appointed Mary to sit on both the Select Standing Committee on Education and the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commission and she is the Official Opposition House Leader. Before being elected to the Legislature, Mary served as a trustee and chair of the Surrey school board.
