Matthew Jones was elected for the constituency of Calgary-South East on April 16, 2019. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future, the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund and the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing. Mr. Jones is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. Before he was elected to the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Jones worked as an investment banker helping Alberta based businesses with capital raises, acquisitions, and divestitures. Jones lives in Calgary with his wife Tarena and their four children, Caleb, Kieran, Logan and Isla. His interests include sports, music and technology.
