Michael was elected the MLA for Vancouver-Langara in 2017. He is the Official Opposition Critic for Attorney General and is a member of the Select Standing Committee on Parliamentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders and Private Bills. A son of Hong Kong immigrants, Michael was born and raised in Vancouver. He and his wife Christina have three young adult children.
