Heavenly Father, we pray for MLA Michele Babchuk, representing North Island. Thank you for her dedication to her responsibilities. May she live her life as a shining example for others to follow. Your Word says in Proverbs 19:23, “The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” Bless her and protect her. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Michele Babchuk was elected as the MLA for North Island in 2020. She is the Deputy Government Whip and a member of the Appointment Orders Committee. From 2014-2020 she was a councillor for the City of Campbell River as well as chair of the Strathcona Regional District Board. She has served in various roles with the Comox Strathcona Hospital Board, the Comox Strathcona Solid Waste Management Board, the Strathcona Gardens Commission, the Tourism Advisory Committee, and the Airport Advisory Committee. She has been a dedicated advocate for B.C. schools, and worked hard to make public education stronger during her time on the School Board and Parent Advisory Committee. She has called the North Island home for over 20 years and currently resides in Campbell River.
