MLA: Mike Bernier – Peace River South (Demo)

Father, we the people of British Columbia are blessed by You in that we have a stable democracy. Lord, today we pray that You would help MLA: Mike Bernier achieve the goals he has set before himself. We thank You for his willingness to serve and work for the people of our province. Give him Your wisdom in his daily decision making and plans to meet the needs of his constituency. Protect him as he travels the province in fulfilling his duties. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Mike Bernier was elected MLA for Peace River South on May 14, 2013.

Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Mike served as Mayor of Dawson Creek. He was first elected Mayor in 2008 and was re-elected in 2011, and also served as a Dawson Creek City Councillor from 2005 to 2008.

Mike is the Past President of the North Central Local Government Association. He has also served on the Peace River Regional District, the B.C. Mayors Climate Leadership Council, the Community Energy Association, the Council of Resource Community Mayors, Northeast Regional Advisory Committee, Site C Regional and Local Government Liaison Committee, Northern Development Initiative Trust, and the South Peace Economic Development Commission.

Mike has lived in Dawson Creek since 1993 and has 20 years of experience in the natural gas industry.
