Heavenly Father hear my prayer for Mr. Muhammad Yaseen. Thank you so much for Muhammad and his service to our province as Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration and as MLA for Calgary-North. I pray that you would draw near to him and that he would recognize your leading in his life. Help Mr. Yaseen to use his expertise to shape our immigration policies. Let him be overcome by peace and be provided with wise counsel as he seeks to improve conditions in our city and province. Keep him and his family safe and healthy this year. Muhammad Yaseen was elected in 2019 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Prior to serving, Mr. Yaseen worked in the oil industry for almost 40 years. An engineer by profession, he is experienced in reservoir/joint ventures engineering, and he has held advisory roles for processing, transportation, contracts and projects. He holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Yaseen is an active member of his community, volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and the Pakistan Canada Association for many years. Mr. Yaseen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in November 2012 by then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the Honourable Donald S. Ethell. He enjoys reading, walking and volunteering and speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
