We thank you, Father, for the Honourable Muhammad Yaseen and his role as Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Proverbs 2:10-11 says that “when wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you…” So we ask for wisdom and knowledge for Muhammad and that discretion will preserve him and understanding will keep him. May he conduct himself with integrity in all that he does. We honor all his contributions in volunteering over the years. Bless him and his wife, Parveen, and their two grown sons.
Muhammad Yaseen was elected in 2019 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Prior to serving, Mr. Yaseen worked in the oil industry for almost 40 years. An engineer by profession, he is experienced in reservoir/joint ventures engineering, and he has held advisory roles for processing, transportation, contracts and projects. He holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Yaseen is an active member of his community, volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and the Pakistan Canada Association for many years. Mr. Yaseen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in November 2012 by then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the Honourable Donald S. Ethell. He enjoys reading, walking and volunteering and speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
