MLA Muhammad Yaseen, Calgary-North

We thank You, Father, for Muhammad Yaseen‘s election to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Calgary-North. May his appointment as Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration be part of the plan and destiny You have for his life. Give him fresh revelation of strategies in fulfilling the needs of immigrants. Muhammad Yaseen was elected in 2019 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Prior to serving, Mr. Yaseen worked in the oil industry for almost 40 years. An engineer by profession, he is experienced in reservoir/joint ventures engineering, and he has held advisory roles for processing, transportation, contracts and projects. He holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Yaseen is an active member of his community, volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and the Pakistan Canada Association for many years. Mr. Yaseen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in November 2012 by then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the Honourable Donald S. Ethell. He enjoys reading, walking and volunteering and speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
