Nicole Sarauer was elected in 2016 as the MLA for Regina Douglas Park. In June 2017, Nicole was elected Interim Leader of the NDP & Leader of the Official Opposition at a joint meeting of caucus and the New Democratic Party’s Provincial Council. She was in this role until Ryan Meili was elected leader March 3, 2018. Nicole grew up in Regina and studied at the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan, where she completed a Juris Doctorate in Law with Honours in 2009.
