Lord God, today we lift up Peter Milobar, member for Kamloops-North Thompson to you. We ask today for your blessing to rest on Peter in his important roles as Opposition House Leader and critic for Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation. Grant to him favour with his caucus collogues and unity with the other house leaders and they navigate the business of the legislature. May Peter also ask important questions of the government as British Columbia moves further on the journey to indigenous reconciliation. We also ask for rest and connection with family and friends over this summer season, Amen.
Peter was elected MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson in May 2017 and again in 2020. Before entering provincial politics, Peter was mayor of Kamloops for three terms, after previously serving two as councillor. He served as chair of the Thompson Regional Hospital District for five terms, and was a director for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District since 2005. Peter has also worked on the BC Transit Board of Directors, at PRIMECorp, and on the Local Government Contract Management Committee.
