MLA Rakhi Pancholi, Edmonton-Whitemud

Heavenly Father, I bring Rakhi Pancholi to you in prayer. Thank you so much for Rakhi and her service to the community of Edmonton-Whitemud and thank you for keeping her and her family safe. Thanks for guiding them to the place in life that they are in. I pray that your will would be done through Rakhi, in the area of Education and as critic for children’s services. Help Rakhi to understand what is required in using her unique skills and talents to improve education and children’s services in the province. Help her to feel your presence and gentle voice of leading in all areas of her life. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Rakhi Pancholi was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Edmonton-Whitemud, on April 16, 2019. Prior to serving, Ms. Pancholi was a practising lawyer in Edmonton with a focus on labour/employment and education law. She has experience working with the Alberta School Boards Association and was a senior legislative consultant for Alberta Education. Ms. Pancholi has been very involved in volunteer organizations, including ParityYEG, the Canadian Bar Association, Humane Animal Rescue Team (HART), and the National Education Program Committee of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF). She has also volunteered her services as a lawyer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. She and her husband, Owen, are raising their two young children in Edmonton. Big advocates of animal rescue and adoption, they currently own two large rescue dogs.
