MLA Richard Feehan, Edmonton-Rutherford

Mighty God we bring Richard Feehan before Your throne of grace today as he serves in our legislature and represents Edmonton-Rutherford. Lord bless him as he serves his second term in our legislature. Father guide and direct him in right paths as he serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship. Jesus bless his marriage with his wife Kathleen and protect it as he continues to serve in public office for our province. In Jesus’ name. Amen……

Richard spent over a decade teaching with the Edmonton branch of the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Social Work. Prior to this he was Program Director of the Edmonton Social Planning Council and the Vice-President of Edmonton’s Catholic Social Services. He also spent over a decade in private social work practice. As Minister of Indigenous Relations, Richard worked with Alberta’s Indigenous communities to begin fulfilling the United Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Richard holds a Masters of social work from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor of social work from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta. Richard was born and raised in Edmonton and he lives in the south side with his wife and three children.
