MLA Richard Gotfried, Calgary-Fish Creek

Lord I just want to raise up Richard
Gotfried before you in prayer and petition.  Too often we take our public representatives for granted and
even speak poorly about them. This is wrong for many reasons, the least of which
is a biblical instruction to respect and support and honor those who serve
in such offices.  I do pray that as Richard has to deal with the
everyday pressure of a public servant that you would grant him
favour and grace in his goings and comings and that his efforts and energy
would be well appreciated by all.  I pray that, at all times, Richard
would walk with confidence and realize that you have him in the palm of
your hand and You care about even the small details of his life and you are
there to guide his every step and every word he speaks. Amen

Richard Gotfried is proud to have been born and raised in Alberta. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Calgary-Fish Creek, on May 5, 2015. Mr. Gotfried is a member of the standing committees on Public Accounts, Alberta’s Economic Future and Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing.
Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, he spent over a decade working as a senior executive for a Calgary-based home builder. Earlier, he worked for over 15 years as a district sales manager for an international airline. In addition, he was vice-president of corporate and community engagement with Calgary Economic Development between 2011 and 2013.
As a strong supporter of community engagement he has volunteered with several community associations, including the Calgary Home Builders Foundation; the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association; Skål International, Calgary (the International Association of Travel and Tourism Professionals); Scouts Canada and GlobalFest.
