MLA Rod Loyola, Edmonton-Ellerslie

Father God, we thank you so much for MLA Rod Loyola. We ask that you would fill him with wisdom and understand for all he does. Thank you for all he does and his love of his community. We ask that you would touch and give your grace to his family as well. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Rod Loyola was elected in 2015 and again on April 16, 2019. He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing and the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship. Prior to being elected, Loyola was heavily involved with the University of Alberta, first having completed a bachelor of arts in 1999, later becoming employed as an academic program coordinator and student adviser for University of Alberta International. He was then elected President of the Non-Academic Staff Association union. Loyola’s volunteer and community involvement includes serving in various roles for the Knottwood Community League, as well as on the Post-Secondary Education Task Force for Public Interest Alberta, and on the board of Friends of Medicare. Loyola currently resides in Mill Woods with his wife, Johanna, and two children.
