Jesus, thank You for MLA Bird and for her dedication to serving her country, province, and community. Lord, You have given her a heart for service and justice. We pray that You would continue to pour into her life and help her serve the people and causes she is passionate about. God, continue to refine her heart to align with Yours. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Rosalyn was elected as MLA for Prince George-Valemount in 2024. She serves as Critic For Citizens’ Services. Rosalyn joined the Sea Cadets in her youth, a national youth program jointly sponsored by the Department of National Defence. This then led her into a career with the Canadian Forces beginning in 1990. She began as a Boatswain and was later re-classified as a Resource Management Clerk. Her performance and commitment to excellence led to her selection, in 2005, to be commissioned as a Naval Logistics Officer. Rosalyn deployed in support of NATO and played a crucial role in Forward Logistics Support for Southeast Asia relations, Op Apollo, and Op Altair in support of Afghanistan. Her service took her across Canada, from BC to Nova Scotia and as far north as Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, at CFS Alert. She sailed on three different classes of ships: HMCS Nipigon (Steamer), HMCS Huron and Algonquin (280 Class Destroyers), and HMCS Ottawa (Canadian Patrol Frigate). Her journey in the Canadian Forces was one of dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to her duties. Rosalyn is proud to call Prince George her home.
